DAC is proud to support Traffic Wales in its programme to transition Emergency Roadside Telephones (ERT) from fixed analogue infrastructure to digital wireless technology across the Welsh strategic road network.
The migration will help reduce reliance on legacy fixed line networks, supporting Traffic Wales’s ambition to remove this infrastructure by 2027 while maintaining reliable roadside communications for road users.
By combining DAC’s GSM4 Type 354 Emergency Roadside Telephone with cloud based Asset Management Software, Traffic Wales will benefit from improved visibility of roadside assets, more efficient maintenance planning, and the ability to move towards predictive maintenance.
The result is a more resilient, flexible and cost effective roadside communications solution, designed to support both operational efficiency and road user safety.
